Connect ChatGPT to Gravitask
Add Gravitask as a custom MCP connector in ChatGPT. Sign in once with OAuth, choose a workspace, and ChatGPT can search, plan and update your work. No API keys required.
Set up in four steps

Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings > Apps & Connectors > Advanced settings and enable Developer mode. Custom MCP connectors are available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.

Create the connector
Back in Settings > Apps & Connectors, click Create (or Add custom connector). Name it Gravitask, set the MCP server URL to https://app.gravitask.com/mcp, choose OAuth as the authentication method, and save.

Authorise with your Gravitask account
ChatGPT redirects you to the Gravitask consent screen. Sign in, pick the workspace this connection should use, and tick Read-only access if ChatGPT should only read and report. Click Authorise to finish.

Use it in a conversation
Start a new chat, open the plus menu, and enable the Gravitask connector (in developer mode it appears under your custom connectors). Then ask away: "List my overdue Gravitask tasks and draft a plan to clear them."
What you approve on the consent screen
- Workspace picker: the connection is bound to ONE workspace you choose, never your whole account.
- Read-only toggle: tick it and ChatGPT can browse, search and report but never change anything.
- Revoke any time: workspace admins can disconnect ChatGPT in one click from Settings > Integrations > MCP > Connected apps.

- “Create a task in the Marketing project to refresh the pricing page, due Friday.”
- “Who is overloaded right now? Show open and overdue counts per person.”
- “Search the wiki for our deployment checklist and summarise it.”
Good to know
Where are custom connectors in ChatGPT?
OpenAI moves this occasionally. If you cannot see Create under Apps & Connectors, check that Developer mode is enabled in Advanced settings, and that your plan supports custom connectors. Workspace admins may need to enable connectors for Business and Enterprise plans.
Plans and permissions
MCP is included on every Gravitask plan with unlimited agent actions (fair use applies on Free). Your Gravitask workspace admin controls the overall permission level and can disable individual tools for the whole workspace.
Authorisation fails or loops?
Sign in to Gravitask at app.gravitask.com in the same browser first, then retry. You must belong to at least one workspace before authorising. If it still fails, delete the connector and create it again with the URL exactly as shown above.
